Terms of Service & Telehealth Agreement

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, registering on, or using the Psychizen web application ("Platform"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue use of the platform immediately.

2. Nature of Services Provided

Psychizen is a digital health intermediary connecting individuals with qualified mental health providers and evidence-based self-care resources:

• Licensed Psychologists: Independent clinicians certified with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) providing psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed counseling, and relationship therapy.
• Consultant Psychiatrists: Medical doctors (MBBS, MD/DNB Psychiatry) registered with the National Medical Commission (NMC) providing clinical evaluation, diagnostic assessment, and psychopharmacological guidance under the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines of India.
• Psychizen Bloom Guides: Supervised postgraduate counseling psychology trainees offering affordable emotional wellness sessions under active clinical supervision by senior faculty.
• AI Reflection Listener: An automated, natural-language psychoeducational tool designed solely for self-reflection and cognitive restructuring. It does not provide medical diagnosis or substitute for a human therapist.
• Anonymous Listening Lounge: Peer-to-peer empathetic listening provided by trained volunteers. It does not constitute psychotherapy or medical intervention.

3. Booking, Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy

We respect the professional time of our clinicians and our clients' commitment to healing. The following policies govern all appointment bookings:

• Rescheduling & Cancellation (> 24 hours): You may reschedule or cancel any scheduled session up to 24 hours prior to the session start time without incurring any fee. Full refunds for eligible cancellations are credited to the original payment source within 5–7 business days.
• Late Cancellations (< 24 hours): Cancellations or reschedule requests made within 24 hours of the scheduled time are subject to a 100% cancellation charge to compensate the practitioner for reserved clinic time.
• No-Shows: If a client does not join the video session within 15 minutes of the start time, the appointment is marked as a no-show, and no refund will be provided.
• Clinician Cancellations: In the rare event that a clinician must reschedule due to an emergency, the client will receive a complimentary reschedule or a 100% refund immediately.

4. Client Responsibilities & Code of Conduct

Clients agree to engage in tele-sessions in a private, quiet, and safe setting. The following conduct is strictly prohibited and results in immediate session termination and account ban:

• Verbal abuse, harassment, sexually explicit comments, or threats of violence directed at clinicians, bloom guides, listeners, or community peers.
• Unauthorised audio or video recording, screen captures, or broadcasting of private therapy sessions.
• Logging into a consultation while operating a motor vehicle or machinery.
• Soliciting clinicians for off-platform financial transactions or violating clinical boundaries.

5. Telemedicine Consent & Limitations

You understand and agree that teleconsultation has inherent limitations compared to in-person medical evaluation, including potential technical latency and the inability to conduct physical somatic examinations. For conditions requiring emergency medical intervention or controlled substances prohibited under Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, clients will be directed to physical medical centers.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
